A room where the rest of Nakuru goes quiet.
Imani is a small barbershop and beauty spa on the first floor of Kokosavana Building, opposite Kenya Power. We opened with a simple idea: do a few things, do them well, and treat every guest like the day belongs to them.
Imani means faith.
In practice, that's what we're working with every visit. A guest who walks through the door is trusting us with an hour of their day, and a piece of how they feel when they leave. We treat that as the responsibility it is.
That's why the menu is short. We'd rather do five massages well than fifteen passably. Same with the barbershop side — a careful classic cut and a slow hot-towel shave beat a long list of half-attended novelty services every time.
Two rooms, one philosophy.
On the spa side: soft, Swedish, deep tissue, Thai, and four hands massage — alongside classic and deep cleansing facials, full manicure and pedicure work, hair treatments, and brow threading.
On the barbershop side: classic haircuts, hot-towel straight-razor shaves, beard sculpting, and the kind of careful kids' cut that doesn't make a small child afraid of the chair.
Everything runs to its booked time. The session you book is the session you get.
Four things, held to.
We do not rush.
Every session runs to its full time. We don't over-book the room, we don't cut treatments short, and we don't make you wait for the next person.
Trained hands, every chair.
Our therapists and barbers are trained, and they keep training. Massage, facial work, hair, and shave craft each ask for their own discipline — we take that seriously.
You are not a transaction.
We remember your name and what you usually book. We notice if your shoulders are tighter than last time. The whole point of a small place is that it can be personal.
For everyone.
Spa and barbershop under one roof, for any guest who walks in. Walk-ins are welcome — booked appointments have priority during busy stretches.
Come and see.
